Daily update is a quick, efficient meeting for teammates to share project updates and progress. This asynchronous meeting avoids time and travel costs associated with a synchronous team meeting, and allows teams to meet at times that work best for them.
To enable this feature, create or edit the triggering intent of your Action and select the option to offer daily updates. You can also add the Daily updates system scene to your Action to automatically initiate this conversation when a user invokes this intent.
The users of your Action can subscribe to daily updates by following a prompt mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when they exit your Action successfully. This way, you can ensure that your Action provides value to them on a daily basis and avoid them forgetting about it after a single use.
When implementing this feature, make sure that you provide the right amount of context to the user when you offer a subscription prompt. This will help them understand why you think your Action is valuable to them, and it’s important to avoid overwhelming them with repeated suggestions to register for daily updates. When the users receive an Assistant notification at their scheduled time each day, they should be able to open and interact with your Action. If they do not, they can try again later or delete their daily update subscription.
