A late-breaking abstract is intended to recognize truly new, high impact scientific research that became available after the May 13 general abstract submission deadline. Whether it is large clinical studies or high-impact translational research, late-breaking abstracts should represent the most important work that can be presented at the Congress. The study must be prospective in design and must have closed by March 6. Neither retrospective nor phase 1 trials are eligible for consideration in this category.
The top-scoring late-breaking abstracts will be selected for oral presentations during the scientific Late-Breaking Oral Abstract Sessions. If your abstract is accepted for a platform presentation, you will need to provide your financial disclosure information and complete your registration by Tuesday, June 17. Travel/hotel accommodations and fees are the responsibility of the Presenting Author.
In addition to the scientific program, a dedicated poster session will be available for late-breaking abstracts. These posters will be judged based on their scientific excellence, innovation, and relevance to the field of neuromuscular disorders.
Papers in progress
In order to encourage and foster discussions and collaborations among scientists, we invite authors of late-breaking work to submit a short paper for this forum. These papers can be a summary of a research project that has not yet been published, or they can be more extensive and introduce a new concept or technique to the field. All submissions must be made through Ex Ordo. The presenting author must be the first or last listed author of the paper and must be logged in to the system with the email associated with their first or last ASTS/AST membership account.
