Interpret and Explain

Persuade
A persuasive editorial is aimed at convincing the reader to share the author’s viewpoint using reasoning, facts and examples. It is one of the most effective ways to get the readers’ attention and encourage them to engage with the topic.
Criticism
This is the most commonly used form of editorial. It focuses on pointing out flaws in a certain person, decision or action. It is also a common method of responding to articles that have been published in a particular publication, addressing why the author disagrees with certain aspects of the news.
